The Glass Lens…

untitled         Its one of those things that every person should at least consider. A small device that can be responsible for capturing some of the most precious, un-relivable memories. I got into photography 4 years ago. Once I bought my first camera and picked it up, I never put it down. It was one of those things that I just couldn’t get enough of. The constant flashes, shutter clicks. It was something that was music to my ears, and I knew it would be something I could never walk away from forever. Not only did the addiction set to capturing my own children in the lens, it spread to having the opportunity to capture other families. Being the one thing behind that camera with a good eye, as well as the one responsible for giving these families beautiful memories, was like heroin to a drug addict. It was something I just could never get enough of. Rain , sun, hot, or cold, I was out there.

Of course everyone has their starting point. Their inspiration to start something. Mine was my very own personal photographer that did countless photography sessions for my own family. Seeing the glow in her face as she captured these images, and worked with my children, it was something unexplainable. It was something that I cant exactly put a word on. I just knew that she loved it. It was a passion of hers. Like all photos, these ones are something that hold some of the most precious moments of my children’s lives. These images may just be a piece of paper with ink and chemicals which mirror the image that was taken. But to my children, they’re everything. From the day they were brought into this world, to the day they will Graduate.

Cameras for me, are an obsession. I can buy a camera for no reason at all, despite the one(s) I already have. These amazing inventions continue to grow with modern technology and with that modern technology, thousands upon thousands of people all around the world will have a piece of their childhood/life on paper. If you have a talent behind the lens. Don’t waste it. Don’t throw it away. And certainly don’t take advantage of it. The gift of having a good eye whether that be for people, nature, sports, is never something to take for granted. Embrace it, love it, live it. Continue reading “The Glass Lens…”

Little specks in a large world…

The world can be a huge place. A beautiful place. It can be a place you plant your roots, build a family, start careers. But it’s also larger than we can fully understand. There’s so much to know, so much to see that you never really get a feel of it all. You get a touch of it like your toes in the sand, before you pull back because something foreign to you rises. Something bigger than you can try to understand. It can bring situations to you that you may not know how to deal with. Situations that test your faith in not only yourself, but in humanity. So many things going on around us. So many things changing. But do we change with it? Or do we stay the same and adjust to those changes.

We are little specks in the world. Trying to get through each day so you can see the next. We come and go as we please. We do our daily duties as productive members of society. Life itself feels like a video game. You’re trying to make it to the end of the level in hopes to accomplish self gain. Well follow me through this big world. Read my thoughts on topics that people dare not to touch. Take what I say into perspective. Learn from it. Grow from it. I do it everyday with others. The ability to learn off others is one of the  greatest gift’s life itself can give us.
